Before heading for an interview, do some research on the company and check out its website. Do not pay any upfront costs for a job application or attend interviews in strange or isolated locations. Personal information, such as your bank account number or a copy of your ID, should not be shared.

- Requests for fake fees: Anyone who asks for additional fees to acquire or sell an item or service should be avoided. Import and brokerage fees should never be necessary because Bebuyz.com never asks for money for its fundamental services and does not allow things that are not located in Nigeria.
- Demands for the use of money transfer services: Western Union and MoneyGram are not intended for transactions between strangers, but they are used for many scams. Such requests should be avoided.
